Building History

Doheny Library was later commission in the Office of Cram and Ferguson, and their last in California. They collaborated with the Pasadena architect Samuel E. Lunden (1897-1995), who supervised the design of its interiors and produced the building's working drawings.

Alteration

The administration of USC enlarged the Doheny Memorial Library in the 1960s from about 500,000 volumes to 1,000,000 volumes.
