Building Notes

According to architectural historian Michael Houser, the design for the West Mercer Island Elementary School "...was displayed at American Association of School Administrators conference in Atlantic City." (See Michael Houser, Docomomo WeWa, "Gerald C. Pomeroy (1927-2012)," accessed 03/09/2017.) Architect Gerald C. Pomeroy of the firm of Waldron and Dietz was a resident of Mercer Island between the 1960s until the end of his life.
