Williams designed this small-scale one-bedroom house for a couple on a tight budget. The house resembled work being done in Northern California at the same time, with its board and batten walls, shed roof, and contrasting white trim. A carport replaced a garage to save money, and the house had no furnace originally, only a fireplace and circulating heater.
