George Washington Carmack was a prospector who filed the first claim in the Klondike Gold Rush in 1897. He lived in this house with his wife, Marguerite, between 1910 and his death in 1922. Marguerite Carmack lived in the house well into the 1940s.
Altered. Originally a two-story Dutch Colonial Revival residence.
