This symmetrical, two-story, brick factory was auctioned in Fall 1997 by Realty Marketing/Northwest. The Diamond Match COmpany of Cloquet, MN, the originator of the advertising matchbook in 1896, built this facility in the early 1900s as their West Coast manufacturing facility. In 1997, this plant was sited on a 136-acre parcel.
