Building History
Having been the son of a nurseryman, architect Myron Hunt (1868-1952) had an awareness of horticulture and garden design; the commission for the Hotel Maryland gardens was one of the first that the architect received after moving to Pasadena, CA, in 1903; the garden had a long pergola made from rustic, unpeeled eucalyptus logs.
