Building History
The Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company, one of the first transcontinental grocery chains in the United States, operated six stores in Seattle, by 09/1939; this store, with its tall advertising tower designed to catch the eye of passing motorists, opened on 09/01/1939.
The A & P Store was removed but the space housed office, retail and warehouse space in 2015, with JSH Properties owning it.
