Architect F.A. Sexton (b. 1852) designed two chalets for Dr. Anna Russell and her son, Homer, with many Craftsman Style details. Homer E. Russell and Cora Mae Frost were married on 11/05/1902 in Ketchikan, AL, and returned to Seattle to live. In 1903-1904, the Russell Family erected this house for the couple to use, close to the home of Dr. Russell on 8th Avenue NE. Homer Russell would also become a doctor like his mother.
