Designed as a rental property for Dr. W.L. Lloyd, this complex consisted of 12 small courtyard houses and three shared garages. Each patio faced away from one another for maximum privacy.
The houses occupied a sloping site, near to the beach, on La Jolla's south side. The building's walls were built with Schindler's "slab-cast" method of construction; other exterior surfaces were clad in California redwood. One elevation for this complex was dated 05/1923.
