Building History

Georgetown incorporated as a WA city (third-class) on 01/08/1904. This second city hall was built in 1909, and used for less than a year when the City of Seattle annexed Georgetown.

Following annexation, Seattle's Fire Department, Library, and Police occupied space in the building.

Building Notes

Placed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Alteration

The building underwest internal remodeling to accommodate a fire station and library. The fire station occupied the building's south end. A fire look-out cupola stood atop the building to serve the fire department. This cupola was later removed.
