The Ferry House was registered as a City of Seattle Landmark; it was also voted one of the "10 Greatest Homes" by Seattle Metropolitan magazine in 01/2012.

Architectural historian, Grant Hildebrand, noted that John Graham, Sr., started the design of the Ferry House in 1903-1904, while Bodley remodeled the interior and added a new kitchen section after 1904.
