This notable Romanesque church, opened in 1925, accommodated 1,700 parishioners; like many institutional structures in this style, this project had a bell tower or campanile, in this case, located just to the north of the main entryway; the artist, Lucile Lloyd (1894-1941), painted murals and beams of the church.
The Southwest Builder and Contractor reported on 04/25/1925 that the new church would cost $400,000.
