Building History

Architect George Herbert Wyman (1860-1939) may have designed this c. 1891 while he worked for the Dayton, OH, architectural firm of Peters and Burns. Silas Reese Burns (1855-1940) obtained contracts for at least three veterans facilities in Sawtelle, CA, Marion, IN, and Dayton, OH; (both Wyman and Burns lived in Dayton at the time.)
