Building History
Designed by the husband-and-wife design team, Arthur (1891-1973) and Nina (1895-1976) Zwebell, the 19,045-square-foot Casa Andalusia contained 18 apartments and occupied a 24,393-square-foot lot. The property had space to park 22 vehicles. In 03/2013, the building had an asking price of $5.975 million. At this time, tit had most of original features including tilework, fireplaces, beamed ceiling, hardwood floors, and light fixtures.
Building Notes
According to LA Curbed.com, a two-bedroom rental unit in Casa Laguna cost $2495 per month rent in 2011; the article wrote: "'...The available apartment has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, each with bathtub and shower, beamed, thirty-foot-high ceiling, dining room, fireplace, original tile, original light fixtures, and restored original hardwood floors, French windows and doors, Juliet balconies, a new dishwasher, and "small private basement for storage.'
