Building History

For a brief period, c. 1909-1910, this 800-seat theatre was known as the California, the third to bear that name in San Francisco, CA. It became the Liberty during two periods, c. 1910-1920 and from about 1926 until 1949. It was known as the Allies Theatre in about 1920, and the Crescent from 1923 until 1925.
