Wachovia Bank purchased World Savings on 10/01/2006 and consolidated its operations and those of World Savings under the Wachovia name.

The World Savings Center was designed as a three adjoined rectangular boxes, the forms covered in dark glass. A thin white strip delineated the tops of each box. A "World Savings" sign lined the top.
