A Queen Anne-Styled building, erected when sanitaria were common businesses in Southern California attracting ailing tourists from colder climates back East; an early twentieth-century post card with the caption, "Glendale Sanitarium A Southern California Health Resort," exists; the reverse of the card reads, "Special Features - Pleasant Summers, Ideal Winters, Physiological Methods of Treatment, a Scientific Dietary [sic], Reasonable Rates."
