The Jardinette Apartments stood on the southeast corner of West Marathon Street and Manhattan Place.

Initially, architects Rudolph M. Schindler (1887-1953) and Richard Neutra (1892-1970) arranged to design this project together, but a rift over the Lovell Health House (Los Angeles, 1927)commission caused only Neutra to finish this pioneering modern building;
