This Spanish/Mexican hacienda was just that, a farmhouse for an actual farm. Sabin designed an L-shaped barn/tack room/tool shed for a location just to the west of the guest house.
The house was located on the Dickey Ranch near Ojai; Donald Ryder Dickey (1887-1932) listed in Who Was Who in America. A component volume of "Who's Who in American History." Volume 1, 1897-1942.
