Overview
This small but complicated pavilion served the restless architect Charles W. Moore while he worked and taught in the Bay Area during the early-to-mid-1960s.
Building History
Renowned architect Charles Willard Moore (1925-1993) designed and supervised construction of this remarkable residence in 1961. According to Kevin Keim, Director of the Charles Moore Foundation, Moore resided here for only three years, between 1962 and 1965. (See email from Kevin Keim and Robert Nebolon to the author, 05/23/2023.)
Alteration
This house has received a number of enlargements and bears little resemblance to the original Moore design.
