Like the other early buildings of the Century City Development, 1900 Avenue of the Stars Building was built for the Aluminum Corporation of America, (ALCOA).
The 1900 Avenue of the Stars Building stood 27 stories high, according to Gebhard and Winter Guide, 1994, p. 134; 28 according to building manager's website, 11/07/2003; it contained 600,000 square feet of rentable space according to some figures, 585,000 to others; according to a card in the Los Angeles Public Library California Index, the 1900 Avenue of the Stars Building stood 426 feet high and 27 stories.
