This 763-bed, fifteen-story building was seriously damaged in the 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake; it was vacated in 1991 and torn down eight years later; Joseph Verducci was the Head Football Coach and Athletic Director at San Francisco State University during the 1950s-1970s; he was inducted into the school's sports hall of fame in 1976;
Verducci Hall was demolished 3/28/1999, and its site was to be cleared for a new mixed-use student housing development, the Village at Centennial Square; Controlled Demolition, Incorporated, performed the demolition;
