A three-story, 163-unit apartment complex that gained notoriety for its collapse in the Northridge Earthquake, killing sixteen people; the owners were Shashikant and Renuka Jogani in 1994; in 2004, the The Riverside County Youth Museum (www.kidzone.org), located in Hemet, CA, featured a Northridge Meadows Apartment complex diorama, full-scale floor models of woodframe structural components, and an instructional video on the apartments'collapse.
Destroyed in the 1/17/1994 earthquake that struck Northridge, CA, at 4:31 A.M.; its collapse spawned a court case, Cerone v. S.J. Four Properties, that alleged construction and design defects; the owners, their management firm, builder, architect and engineers were all named in the suit;
