Building History

As was the case with the Seattle Pantages Theatre #2, the Tacoma Pantages Theatre #2 was joined with a vaguely classical skyscraper office building, known as the Jones Building. The theatre opened 01/07/1918, occupying a rectangular plot, lining 100 feet on Ninth Street and 115 feet on Broadway in downtown Tacoma.

Alteration

The Pantages was renovated in 1983 to serve as a performing arts center, now known as the Broadway Center for the Performing Arts.
