Overview

Designed for the singer and actress Dinah Shore, this large 6,926-square-foot residence occupied a 1.34-acre (58,370-square-foot) parcel in the Old Las Palmas neighborhood of Palm Springs, CA, and was completed in 1964.

Building History

Architect Donald Wexler (1926-2015) designed this residence for the singer and television personality Frances Rose "Dinah" Shore (1916-1994), well-known for her sponsorship of a Ladies Pro Golf Association (LPGA) Tournament in Rancho Mirage, CA.

This residence contained six bedrooms and seven and a half baths.

The actor Leonard DiCaprio (born 11/11/1974 in Los Angeles, CA) bought the Shore House on 02/24/2014 for $5,230,000. The house sold previously in 2012 for $4.9 million. The house was made available for short-term rental. It had the following amenities: a gated service entrance, heated pool and spa, tennis court and a one-bedroom guest house.
