The Kun House presented a walled, fortified facade to the street but had three stories of windows and balconies that surveyed the City of Los Angeles and the ocean. Josef Kun was a journalist.
As architectural historian Thomas Hines has noted, the Kun House was the first in which Richard Neutra collaborated with the great architectural photographer, Julius Shulman. The house was selling for the asking price of $1,475,000 in 10/2004;
