Building History
The Los Angeles Daily Journal reported that architect Oliver P. Dennis (1858-1927) was preparing plans for the Harry Gray House in Chester Place, Lot #19. (See Harry Gray House notice, Los Angeles Daily Journal, 10/16/1900, p. 4.) A note in the Los Angeles Times in 1902, reported that Oliver and Farwell, Architects were providing plans for the Chester Place house of Harry Gray. (See "Gray House notice," Los Angeles Times, 02/02/1902, part II, p. 1.)
Gray sold his Chester Place dwelling to P. Max Kuehnrich in 03/1904. Kuehnrich moved to Los Angeles in 1897 to become the President of the Los Angeles Brewing Company.
