Overview

Los Angeles architect Thornton Fitzhugh (1864-1933) designed this small Presbyterian Church, completed in 1905. It did not last long, as it was replaced by a larger Gothic Revival building designed by architect George Lindsey.

Building Notes

With its scalloped parapet, stucco exterior, and red tile roofs, the Highland Park Presbyterian Church #1 was a fine example of the then-prevalent Mission Revival Style.

Demolished c. 1922.
