Sculptor George Maitland Stanley (1903-1970) created sculptures at Long Beach Poly.

Building Notes

In 1921, David Burcham was the Principal of the Long Beach Polytechnic High School; in that year it had about 100 teachers and 3,300 students. It also had a large library, containing 10,287 volumes, with Florence Behr serving as the librarian. (See Notes of California Libraries, 01/1922, vol. 17, no. 1, p. 537.)
