Killingsworth and his firm produced six designs for the Frank House.
In 1963, the American Institute of Architects (AIA), in association with Sunset Magazine, gave the Frank House an Award of Merit in its over 2,000-square-foot class. Sunset writers said of the house in a brochure illustrating the award winners: "On a flat, narrow lot between street and a boating canal, this house is oriented toward the water, which it faces with a two-story glass wall (with draperies). Its high side walls enclose a tall inner court (with wood lath shade screen) that lends space and light to the interior while giving the house privacy from neighbors, the canal, and the street."
