Building History
From its description in the California Architect and Building News, it was not clear whether this was a commercial or residential building for M. Nolan. This magazine included this short notice of its construction: "Two-story and basement frame dwelling, S. side Fulton near Van Ness avenue. O., M. Nolan; A., Townsend & Wyneken; C., J. Dougherty; about $4,000." (See "Building Intelligence," California Architect and Building News, vol. III, no.8, 08/1882, p. 124.)
Demolition
This building was demolished. Its location was proximate to the current San Francisco Civic Center, built during the mid-1910s and early 1920s.
