A notice in the California Architect and Builder, 08/1882, listed a two-story frame building (likely a residence) being designed by Barnett McDougall and Son, Architects. The notice read: "Two-story and basement frame, S. side Ellis, between Buchanan and Laguna; O., Fisher; A., McDougall & Son; C., Sylvester & Langsbee, no price listed. (See Building Intelligence: San Francisco," California Architect and Building News, vol. III, no. 8, 08/1882, p. 124.) The owner was Fisher, architect McDougall and Son, and contractor Sylvester and Langsbee.
