Building History
The Los Angeles School District began elementary school operations at this location in 1909.
A large two-floor addition was made during the New Deal era in 1935-1937, designed by architect Clarence E. Noerenberg (1886-1957). At the same time, the existing auditorium was remodeled by a Los Angeles contractor, Charles J. Dorfman.
