Overview

This East Palo Alto Branch of the Well Fargo and Company Bank stood near the Bayshore Freeway at 1935 University Avenue in 1957. It was one of two branches of the bank to serve the Menlo Park/East Palo Alto/Palo Alto areas in 1957, the other being at 718 Santa Cruz Avenue in Downtown Menlo Park.

Building History

In 1957, D. Donald Murdoch served as the Assistant Cashier and Manager of the Wells Fargo and Company Bank in East Palo Alto. Harry S. Rhodes was another assistant manager at that time. (See Palo Alto, California, City Directory, 1957, p. 619.)
