Overview

In 2025, this Normandy Park residence contained five bedrooms and three baths in 3,200 square feet. It was completed in 1965 and closely resembled work by the Seattle architect Ralph Anderson. The residence had a post-and-beam structure, cove lighting, extensive use of wood paneling on walls and ceilings, expansive indoor-outdoor living spaces particularly decks and uncoarsed, basalt fireplaces. The house was situated on the northern periphery of the Walker Creek Preserve.

Building History

NW Regional Modern architect Ralph D. Anderson, Jr., (1924-2010) designed this L-shaped, one-story residence in 1965.

The house was foreclosed upon in 2013, and was transferred to JP Morgan Chase Bank National Association on 06/24/2013. The bank sold it to Barbara Wilzen on 08/07/2014 for $267,750. The value of the house had climbed to $807,000 on 07/24/2019, when Robert and Barbara Wilson sold it to Cory McGraw. McGraw and Eric King sold it on 05/16/2025 to $1,700,000 to Melissa B. Turtel and Christopher C. Drynan. The building rapidly appreciated in value between 2014 and 2025, in large part, due to the architect’s name recognition and the quality of his work.
