Building History

In 1854, J. Bomhoff managed the Kossuth House at 147 Battery Street between Pacific and Jackson Streets in San Francisco, CA. This establishment published a bi-lingual advertisement in the Southern Californian newspaper in English and German, as the hotel likely catered to recent German immigrants to the US.
