Building History

A note in the American Architect of 08/09/1911 that mentioned the production of plans by San Francisco architect Willis J. Polk (1867-1924) for the Regents of the University of California. It noted: "Plans have been made by Architects Willis Polk & Co., Merchants Exchange Bldg., for eight-story hotel building to be erected on Sutter St. for the regents of the University of California."
