Building History
The first, dedicated courthouse in Santa Rosa, CA, for the County of Sonoma, opened in 1884, with a ceremony led by Gen. Mariano Vallejo. It operated until it was ruined in the San Francisco Earthquake of 04/18/1906. The next courthouse on Old Courthouse Square, the second, opened in 1909 and functioned on the square until 1966.
