Building History
According to a 1979 article on an exhibition staged by Studio Works Architects, the Minneapolis Waterfront Redesign Project was originally developed for an urban design exhibit at Walker Art Center in 1976. (See John Dreyfuss, "Their Aim: Social Change," Los Angeles Times, 11/28/1979, p. OC C10.) The 1976 exhibit at the Walker was likely "The River: Images of the Mississippi," shown between 10/03/1976 and 01/09/1977.
