Alteration
In the mid-1960s, San Diego architectural firm of Delawie and Macy remodeled Saint Leo's Roman Catholic Church in Solana Beach. Its remodeling won a design award in a competition sponsored by the National Guild of Churches, the Guild for Religious Architecture and the American Institute of Architects, with the cooperation of the Catholic Archdiocese of San Francisco and the Board of Jewish Rabbis in 04/1966. Judges for this competition included: Charles Edward "Chuck" Bassett of SOM, San Francisco Office, Robert C. Alexander of Los Angeles, CA, and the Reverend Peter Hammond of Hull, England.
