Building History

The Seattle architect Theodore "Ted" Bower (1922-2009) designed this ten-unit, wood-frame, apartment building for a site nearby to the University of Washington. The Pearce Apartments were completed in 1962. The Pearce family owned the small income-apartment for 22 years, from 1962 until 1984.

Margaret E. Pearce sold the Pearce Apartments to Elaine Carlstrom on 12/14/1984 for $363,300. The Carlstrom Family owned the building until 2006 when it was sold to Maxim Lissak, Konstantin Bogolyubov and Edward Rotstein for $950,000 on 05/03/2006. In 2024, Lissak was listed as the owner of the building. (See King County Department of Assessment iMap Parcel Viewer, Parcel Data for Parcel #0925049394, accessed 11/01/2024.)

Building Notes

In 2024, the building occupied a 10,256-square-foot (0.24-acre) lot, and contained 8,328 gross square feet (6,000 net). The Pearce Apartments had an radiant electric wall heating system.

In 2024, the property and its land had a taxable value of $2,872,600. (See King County Department of Assessment iMap Parcel Viewer, Parcel Data for Parcel #0925049394, accessed 11/01/2024.)
