Overview

Architect Basil Jerard obtained this property in West Seattle's Seaview section in the mid-1920s, and built a small residence on it for himself and his wife Ella, beginning in 1926.

Building History

Between 1926 and 1942, at least, the Seattle architect Basil M. Jerard (1894-1971) resided at this address. When he designed and built this residence, he worked for the architectural partnership of Doyle and Merriam.

He had previously lived at at 3722 West Oregon Street in Seattle (See Seattle, Washington, City Directory, 1926, p. 913.)
