According to Michael Shellenbarger's "An Index and Summary of Oregon Building Information in the Portland Daily Abstract: 1906-1910," Henry J. Hefty designed a two-story, wood-frame apartment building (flats), for $16,000 on the corner of SW Clay Street at the comer of SW 10th Avenue.
