Building History

In 1901, Grace M. Moore managed the Seagrave Apartments at 218 Virginia Street in Seattle, WA. Arthur A. Seagrave was the proprietor of the Occidental Hotel on the northwest corner of 3rd Avenue and Cherry Street. (See Seattle, Washington, City Directory, 1901, p. 1041.)

The Seattle Daily Times reported in 1901: "[The Seattle real estate firm of] Crawford & Conover report the sale of the Seagrave apartments on the corner of Virginia and Third avenue, for $13,000." (See "Real Estate and Building Notes," Seattle Daily Times, 10/16/1901, p. 22.)

Demolition

The Calhoun Hotel was built on this site in 1909.
