Overview
The Los Angeles architectural firm of Heitschmidt, Matcham and Davis designed this Palm Springs, CA, residence for the residence of Charles Correll, the Euro-American actor and comedian who played an African-American man on the long-running radio show Amos 'n' Andy between 1928 and 1960. In the 1930s, Amos 'n' Andy was one of the most popular shows on NBC's radio networks. It switched to the CBS Radio Network between 1939 and 1943. The show was broadcast from El Mirador Hotel in Palm Springs during the early 1930s.
