Building History

The United States Army operated the Oakland Army Base (OARB) during World War II. The Bechtel-McCone-Parsons Company, formed c. 1938, erected the mammoth metal shed in 1942.

Alteration

Alterations occurred in 1964, 1979 and 1989.

Demolition

The transit shed was razed in 1992.
