The Nordstrom Department Store at Northgate was located in a west-central position in the mall.

Building History

The Nordstrom Company opened its first shoe store at the Northgate Shopping Center in 1950. In 1950, Nordstrom sold shoes at a Downtown Seattle store, at Northgate and a opened a Portland, OR, outlet. The Portland store opened in 1950 like the Northgate branch.

Later, a large Nordstrom Department Store was completed on Northgate's center-west side. This large retail space was demolished in 2021 after both the Macy's and J.C. Penney Department Stores were razed in 2019.

Demolition
