Building History
The Santana Family opened the Peninsula Creamery Dairy Store and Grill in a former Nash-Plymouth auto dealership in 1970.
By the mid-1920s, automobile dealers and mechanics clustered their shops on Alma Street in Palo Alto. In 1926, some of these businesses included the City Garage stood at 529 Alma, Walters and Blangy Dodge Brothers dealership at 439 Alma, Walter G. Bernthal Ford and Lincoln Automobiles dealership at 525 Alma, Oakland Motor Cars dealership at 529 Alma, Stanford Auto Company at 511 Alma, Sullivan Auto Company's Chevrolet dealership at 653 Alma, H.H.
