Architect Arthur L. Loveless (1873-1971) created the architural design of this house for James A. Haight, Jr., and his wife, Gertrude Boland (born 03/18/1892 in NJ-d. 01/31/1964 in WA). James Augustus Haight, Jr., (born 03/19/1885 in ND-d. 12/25/1966 in Berkeley, CA) was an attorney, and son of the lawyer James A. Haight, Sr., (born c. 1860 in WI). Haight, Jr., practiced with his brother Gilbert Pierce Haight (born 06/11/1893 in King County, WA-d. 08/26/1967 in Seattle, WA) in 1928. (See Seattle, Washington, City Directory, 1928, p. 767)
