Overview

This three-floor, reinforced concrete office building contained about 70,000 square feet of space, and was completed by 1985. It had a glazed exterior, reflecting a minimal aesthetic favored by many office building designers during the 1970s and 1980s.

Building History

Between about 2018 and 2023. the German telecommunications giant, T-Mobile, leased the whole building's roughly 70,000 square feet of office space at 3305 160th Avenue SE. It was known as "T-Mobile Building 14." T-Mobile allowed the lease to expire by at least 2024, during the large office space glut of 2023-2024 in Bellevue. (See Victor Whitman, "Swimming in...Office Space," Seattle Times, 02/11/2024, p. C5, C10.) The building, just north of Bellevue's Eastgate neighborhood, was owned by Lake Washington Partners after 2018. (See Jack Stubbs, The Registry.com, "Lake Washington Partners Acquires Office Building in Bellevue for $20.5MM," publised 03/27/2018, accessed 02/27/2024.) The owner's name on the King County Assessor's iMap parcel viewer was "J & J Eastgate LLC." (See King County Department of Assessments.gov, "Parcel Data for Parcel 128362-0030," accessed 08/29/2023.)

In 2024, King County Assessor records listed the building's ownership chain, beginning in 1996. On 08/15/1996, Trammell Crow Center sold the building to Bellevue-Newport Office Buildings, Incorporated, for $16,050,000. Bellevue-Newport sold it on 05/26/2000 to Spieker Properties, LP, for $27,700,000. By 2006, Spieker Properties, LLC, had transferred title to EOP Operating, LP. On 04/03/2006, the title again transferred to WA-Bellevue, LLC. WA-Bellevue, LLC, sold the building to W2007 Seattle Office I-90 Bellevue Realty, LLC, for $22,000,000. A year later, W2007 sold the building at a steep loss to I-90 Bellevue II Investments, LLC, and Eastgate II, LLC, for $12,714,689. On 03/26/2018, I-90 Bellevue II sold it to J&J Eastgate, LLC, for $20,500,000.

According to Address-history.com, Verizon Wireless occupied space here between 2009 and 2022 and Spieker Properties utilized space here between 2014 and 2019, although Spieker's ownership of the building occurred between 2000 and 2006, so these figures may be incorrect. T-Mobile occupied most of the building from roughly 2018 until 2023. Two other businesses had space here between 2014 and 2024, B2B and Demo Team. Walla Walla Farms Cafe and Catering leased space for three years (2021 to 2024) and Work Eastgate for two (2021 and 2022). (See Address-history.com, "3305 160th Ave SE, Bellevue, WA 98008," accessed 02/27/2024.)

Alteration

Significant changes to the building occurred in 1999.

Smaller changes occurred to the property (removing office walls, etc.,) happened in 2012-2013. An elevator alteration was made in 2016. Just after J&J Eastgate, LLC, purchased the building in 03/2018, they spent about $8.5 million to renovate the whole building for new tenants. According to the King County Assessor, this work included: "Interior renovation of office building. First through third floor. The work includes selective construction of new non-structural partitions, new suspended ceilings, and new finishes throughout." (See King County Department of Assessments.gov, "Parcel Data for Parcel 128362-0030," accessed 08/29/2023.)
